The Client's Situation

A family of four living in a 3BHK apartment in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad had been experiencing a range of persistent challenges — recurring health issues, financial stagnation, and a general sense of unease that they couldn't attribute to any specific cause. They had already consulted two Vastu practitioners who had recommended extensive structural changes, including repositioning the kitchen and creating a new entrance — work that would have cost lakhs and taken months.

They approached DesigningAxis looking for a second opinion and specifically asking whether the same corrections could be achieved without demolition. This is one of our specialisations, and we accepted the challenge.

The Vastu Assessment

Challenges Identified

Vastu Doshas Found

  • Toilet positioned in the North-East corner — most critical dosha
  • Master bedroom in North zone instead of South-West
  • Kitchen platform facing North — cook facing wrong direction
  • Main entrance partially blocked by a shoe cabinet
  • Heavy storage in the Brahmasthan (centre of home)
Our Approach

No-Demolition Strategy

  • Element and colour remedies to neutralise the NE toilet dosha
  • Bedroom energy correction through direction and décor
  • Mirror placement to activate kitchen fire energy
  • Entrance redesign using furniture repositioning and lighting
  • Brahmasthan clearing and activation

The Transformation

Over three weeks, Shivani implemented a precise sequence of Vastu corrections — starting with the highest-priority doshas and working systematically through each zone. Every intervention was carefully chosen to be both energetically effective and aesthetically appropriate, so the home looked better as well as feeling better.

The North-East toilet — the most serious dosha — was addressed through a combination of sea salt remedies, specific crystals, colour changes, and a mirror placement that energetically compensated for the location. The kitchen platform direction was corrected through reorganisation rather than reconstruction. The master bedroom was transformed through a headboard repositioning and a complete colour change to the South-West wall.

Cost vs Structural

"We had been living with these problems for years and were resigned to a major renovation. Shivani's approach was completely different — practical, non-invasive, and remarkably effective. Within weeks we could feel the difference in the home."

Key Lessons from This Project

This case study illustrates one of our core beliefs: that most Vastu doshas can be effectively addressed without structural changes, provided the practitioner has both deep Vastu knowledge and the interior design expertise to implement remedies that are also aesthetically sound. The family saved the cost and disruption of a major renovation while achieving the same energetic outcome.

If you are facing similar challenges in your home, we encourage you to seek a second opinion before committing to demolition. In most cases, the solution is simpler — and less expensive — than you think.
